A most elegant high grade gentleman's USA made, vintage wristwatch, in a classic 18ct. Gold cushion form case.C.1926.

The Dennison made case constructed in beautiful 18ct. Gold and struck with British Hallmarks for the year 1926, in superb condition, with a most attractive, finely engraved, traditional monogram "B C" to case back.

Contemporary catalogues and price lists show that it was common practice for most up market Jewellers of this period to offer a monogram engraving or presentation inscription as part of their service.

The American made Lever movement in excellent condition, with decorative embellishment to the bridges, Breguet Hair Spring and 15 Jewels, signed : "AWWC Co.Waltham USA. Sapphire # 24 549275".

The beautiful white enamel dial (very slight hairline at 5) with subsidiary seconds and Arabic numerals, signed "Waltham USA" with original blued steel spade hands.

The dials on these early Waltham wristwatches were made to the very highest standards, the quality of the numerals, dial tracking and general finish were really quite superb.

The "spade" hands in superb condition, are original and of special note as they are extremely fine and most attractive.

A combination of the classic cushion case, superb white enamel dial and extra fine hands give this wonderful vintage wristwatch a particularly elegant and handsome appearance.
