Made in Geneva C.1790, this most attractive Gentleman's Hunting Cased Pocket watch is in Gilt metal with case makers mark; R-I-G. This early type of Swiss Hunting case design has no crystal, the hands exposed when the case top is open.

The high grade, Fusee Verge movement with a very well pierced and engraved balance cock and Silver regulation scale. The Blued steel screws have the original finish with the condition of this beautiful movement being quite superb.

The movement plate is finely engraved with the makers : "Bonna Fres A Geneve" and numbered 5723.

Here can be seen a close-up of this exquisite balance cock, finely pierced and engraved, together with the Silver engraved and enamelled regulation scale.

The White enamel dial in near perfect condition (with only tiny chipping to the centre aperture), has the most beautiful, fine Arabic numerals and very elegant original Gold hands.

The winding aperture in the dial is lined with a fine gilt selve to protect the enamel.

A truly elegant and fine Antique Swiss timepiece C.1790 in superb condition.
