A fine and rare Gentleman's vintage Rolex Oyster Royal waterproof Shock Resisting "mid -size" ( 32mm diameter) Wristwatch, with original Oyster screw-down winding button and milled edge screw-down case back. C.1952.
The classic Oyster case in superb, crisp condition, with polished canted bezel and case and with fine satin finished shoulders.
Rolex serial numbering # 805*** for the year C.1952 and with Rolex model reference # 6144. The interior of the case back signed "Rolex Geneva Swiss Patented Stainless Steel".
The high grade Leaver movement in excellent condition,signed "Rolex Swiss Made 15 Rubies".
The elegant Black Dial Signed "Rolex Oyster Royal Shock Resisting Swiss", in superb and totally original condition, with raised Arabic gilt numerals and dagger index batons. Beautiful Gold Feuille hands with distinctive red centre second sweep hand.
An extremely rare and fine example of a beautiful and most elegant vintage 1952 Rolex mid-size sports wristwatch.
