An extremely fine and rare vintage Rolex "Prince" Chronometer wristwatch in Sterling Silver, C.1930, in totally original condition and with only very little wear.

On coming into stock, the only work required on this magnificent vintage wristwatch was an overhaul and service, no restoration or repairs were needed at all.

It is not only the very handsome appearance of this Art-Deco icon of design which attracts collectors worldwide but the very high quality of every aspect of this exceptional timepiece.

It is very important to note, when considering the Rolex "Prince" as a prospective addition to your collection, that this was the first production wristwatch, whereby each individual timepiece to be sold, underwent full Chronometer testing and certification.

The Case model Ref # 1343A, Case # 07***, Signed RWC Ltd. (Rolex Watch Co.Ltd).

The magnificent high grade movement # 73***, with 15 Jewels signed "Observatory Quality - Timed to six positions - Rolex hairspring - Swiss Made - Extra Prima", with gold Train. The movement contained in the original patent protective cap.

Enameled numerals and tracks to the dial.

British Import Marks struck to the case interior for the year 1930.

These beautiful Prince dials were made in Sterling Silver, the numerals and timing tracks then engraved into the surface of the dial. This cavity was then filled with enamel and fired at a high temperature to melt and fuse the enamel within the cavity. The dial was then burnished flat and the classic Art-Deco decoration was then applied.

On this particular dial the Numerals and Tracks remain original with the black enamel in perfect condition.

This magnificent timepiece also has the distinct advantage of retaining the original Blued Steel Hands, in totally original condition.

The Chronometer Observatory quality movement is in superb condition.

This photograph shows the Rolex original patent protective cap, which is in perfect condition.

These protective caps are more often than not missing, as over the decades, some watchmakers in their haste would fail to replace them when reassembling the watch.

The Rolex case in Sterling Silver, number 07539 together with the model reference number 1343A can be seen here stamped in the case back.

The stamping of the numerals remain quite deep, sharp and well defined, the movement too is in superb condition, with only a little wear, indicating that this beautiful wristwatch has not been heavily used at all.

Signed RWC Ltd. (Rolex Watch Co.Ltd). Swiss Silver control mark and British import marks for the year 1930.

This is an exceptionally fine example of one of the most rare, highest quality and sought after Vintage Rolex wristwatches.

It has without doubt, been treasured and well cared for during its past Seventy Six years.
