These beautiful and most elegant implements were used at this period to avoid soiling ones hands or gloves on the un-fixed printing ink used by the late Victorian publishing industry.

Page turners were made in a wide range of qualities and materials such as base metal, wood, silver and ivory. This magnificent and rare example, made using tortoiseshell, bloodstone and Gold, is of the very highest quality.
