An Omega Seamaster Chrono-Quartz, fine and rare Gentleman's Hybrid waterproof, Sports Chronograph in steel C.1976.Cal;1611. on the original Omega steel link bracelet.

The handsome case and bracelet in superb condition, and of a most robust, substantial design. Case dimensions; 47mm x 34mm x 12mm deep.

Case,dial & movement all signed Omega.

Produced for the Montreal 1976 Olympics, this unusual and quite unique Omega model combined an analogue timepiece and LCD display,a combination no less than a world first in watch making.

The Omega Hybrid display showing the time with a date window on a conventional twelve hour face adjacent to a duel LCD display for Hours,minutes and seconds to 100th of a second.

A high grade professional tool taking its place in a long and prestigious line of precision Olympic timing devices, this amazing Omega wristwatch is able to time intervals,Split times and lap times.

Equipped with two separate 1.35 volt batteries the timepiece was, if required, able to run continuously for up to 15 months!

 

 

 

 

 

The famous Omega "Seamaster" symbol and the "Olympic Cross of Merit" are deeply impressed on the massive waterproof case back which is strongly secured and sealed by four screws.

 

This magnificent Omega Hybrid Chronograph is in superb condition having been back to the Omega workshop for a full service and overhaul and comes with a two year Omega Guarantee, together with an Omega protective storage case.
