An Art-Deco period Square Chronograph C.1945 in Steel stock # 2939

A classic, Vintage Marvin, Art-Deco period Square Chronograph in Steel, with subsidiary sweep seconds dial and 30 minute recording dial.C.1940

The beautiful Steel Case with stepped sides and lugs. Rectangular chronograph pushers to the case band. The case signed "Marvin Watch Co". # 0521763

The high grade movement is quite pristine and superb, signed "Marvin cal; 772 Swiss Made".

The handsome classic Art-deco Dial with pink gilt numerals and square dots on a two tone silvered background, signed: "Marvin Swiss Made". Matching pink gilt baton hands with red centre seconds hand.

This magnificent Vintage chronograph is in excellent and original condition having had very little use over its sixty years of existence.

Square Chronographs, a product of the Art-Deco movement, were first seen in the early forty's period becoming less popular moving into the fifties.

This particular Vintage example is quite remarkable in that it is not only of the highest quality but also most handsome and totally original.

The Swiss family Didisheim founded its factory making high grade timepieces in 1850 and remained in control right up to the 1950s.
