A rare and fine quality, Swiss National Shooting Competition presentation Silver Longines Chronometer, with the most beautiful Art Nouveau chasing, in its original red velvet lined box with the original Chronometer timing certificate.C.1910 The high grade Chronometer movement and case struck # 2310001. The fully Jewelled frosted gilt Movement Signed "Longines" with Micrometer adjustment,t bimetallic balance with over coil hairspring. The case back chased with two classic female figures, one with flag the other with a Laurel wreath, the Canton shield of Bern in the foreground. Bern 1910 below the pendant. Engraved to the cuvette with "Bern 1910 Eidgenoisisches Schutzenfest".
This wonderful Chronometer is contained within its original presentation case complete with the original Swiss Federal Chronometer timing certificate.

The white enamel dial signed Longines, with Arabic numerals and sunken subsidiary seconds dial. Fine Gold scroll hands. The pendant and bezel chased with beautiful stylised Art Nouveau foliage with the Swiss Cross below the pendant. Engraved to the cuvette with "Bern 1910 Eidgenoisisches Schutzenfest".

It is fitting and not at all surprising that the winner of such an important Swiss event, of such long tradition and high standing, would be presented with nothing less than the highest quality Swiss Chronometer, its self the winner of a Certificate for accuracy. For the winners of the Swiss Schützenfest, Timepieces from the most famous and important Swiss watch manufacturers, of the very highest quality were selected as prizes. In this particular case it is a beautiful Longines Chronometer in Silver presented for the Bern 1910 competition.
