A rare and very attractive example of a Ladies Vintage C.1930 Jaeger LeCoultre "Duo-Plan" wristwatch in Steel, with backwind.
The beautiful Art-Deco designed case with original flat crystal set in a fine plain raised bezel. The case signed Jaeger and numbered 26631.
The original ivory colored dial with baton numerals and original Blued Steel hands.The dial signed "Jaeger Swiss Duo-Plan".
The famous Duo-Plan lever movement was a land mark innovation in the 1930s enabling the winding and hand setting button to be placed on the rear of the case, thereby allowing the Art - Deco designers of the period a free hand in producing watches with a very clean and uncluttered appearance. |
