A Truly magnificent, French Grande Sonnerie, Parcel-Silvered, Gilt Brass, Striking & Repeating Carriage Clock ,(on double gong), with Alarm.C.1890.

The Case of the highest quality and construction, the reeded columns and Corinthian capitals with Acanthus finals.

The white enamel dial with Roman Numerals and Blued Steel hands with subsidiary alarm dial.

The high grade movement with Silvered platform to lever escapement and bimetalic balance.

The Strike /repeat on double gong to the back plate.

Three position Sonnerie setting by a lever to the underside of the case.

A close-up of the case shows the highest quality of construction, the reeded columns and Corinthian capitals with Acanthus finals in Rose Gilt. These can be seen in a most excellent and crisp condition.

Here on the left we can see the Alarm hammer and winding (top left).
