The German makers mark and control marks to the case rim.

Rather than just applied to the surface of the case, the image outline is engraved into the silver to a depth enough to allow the enamel to fill an be polished back, flush to the case surface.

The effect is of the enamel being "let in" to the case surface, not only gives a very attractive appearance to the case but also a very high quality "feel" as well.

One can see on the right that the detail of the enamel painting is truly excellent, and the young lady very pretty.

The condition is very good indeed, with no bad chips or cracks to the enamel or to the Silver case, however, there are some surface scratches visible under close examination.
