A truly magnificent Russian Silver Gilt, Cloisonné polychrome enamel belt. The reverse of the belt, struck with makers mark "CMII" and Kokoshnik for C. 1890. A most impressive buckle with hasp and staple fastening, in the form of a Russian Short Sword with safety chain. The beautiful enamel is totally intact and in perfect condition, with the Silver Gilt surface displaying a wonderful mellow patina. The overall length of the belt is 65cm (26") with each panel measuring 32mm x 25mm. |
